Fight Night

As a doorman at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, tourists do not keep track of all the conferences and events for general information only important, but seriously that is ready for what was coming next, and there's always the next coming was something. Las Vegas was built for change. The National Finals Rodeo was coming, the city will prepare you for that kind of crowd. Restaurants and buffets will serve ribs and beans. Country acts will be booked in the showroom and lounge. Sites for business, parties, nightclubs and all the cowboy and cowgirl will offer anything their hearts desired. Then, within days will begin an entirely different conference or event which would create a new change. Even the MGM Grand Garden Arena as a calf roping and a huge showroom full of Brahma bull riding dirt can field a week, and within a day or two Ice Capades or a concert hall, even a can be transformed in the boxing ring. It was amazing, but hey, this is what Las Vegas, and it does very well. But as an employee, it was crazy. For me, it was like a swirl of different colors, and I was friendly to everyone.

All events or holidays of all traditions, nothing came close to a Mike Tyson boxing event. For myself, preparing for a big fight night, food and plenty of rest before a two-day means. But a Mike Tyson fight one night that all the training, all the patience and skill of a guard was tested. It was like getting on a roller coaster, once the ride starts there is no turning back. All one can ride it out. Battle of the nights, all that Las Vegas offered was sold out. A room was empty, left a United Nations book, a nightclub that you will not go in restaurants

Tyson fight those who had a concern that came into town to see the amount was, it came to the city for the event. This cross-cultural group of people was always, gang bangers mixed with Beverly Hills, always fighting hard partying mixed with the crowd. It was a melting pot of people from around the country. The crowd was sometimes explosive, unpredictable, and always lots of money to throw around was. Throw in alcohol and drug combination, and it was a challenge. The city in survival mode for 24 hours at a time to go. I worked five Mike Tyson fight and it always was to try to keep everything under control. Hotel staff, we worked our asses off. We can be flexible, and not face the people we could give good service.

As a doorman, the chaos of a fight night was like a double edged sword. City streets were gridlocked with cars always, nothing was taken. Cabs and limousines can only trickle in and nobody could find me without transportation. The demand for transport grew up with very little supply. Hundreds of people 200 yards stretch of the taxi line while still other groups, the line where I was standing in front of my face waving a hundred dollar bill will be assembled.

With all the noise was deafening screaming, barely breathing air with all the taxi fumes and cigar smoke. Money being thrown at me so fast and furious, that I could not remember what I gave. Threatened men, women chance that I will get them to transport themselves offered to me. And when it was finished would have been my voice. It take days to recover his body would be. Nights at the beginning of this scared me, but in time, I have a hundred thousand people become addicted to energy, incredible amounts of money being thrown around, and even the power of the state.
